Early in the morning of Good Friday we arrived in the village with the car of my father. The grandmother was waiting for us in the front door. Once we walked in, gave me a pleasantly strong odor. "It's the fresh distemper we did yesterday on the walls" explained the grandmother. And indeed, inside and outside, the walls were whitewashed. So was the whole village.

After we ate the sweets offered us, grandmother commanded: "Andrea run here beside the church to help the decoration of Epitaph and you like Maria higher will help me to knead buns and flaounes". When we started and when finished I did not understand. So pleasant was all this.

The next day, Holy Saturday, was all ready. We only coloring eggs. Early in the morning the grandmother had gone to the fields to pick red poppies. Threw the hot water and you what beautiful red eggs.

The evening started together for the "Kalon Loon". Once the priest chanted the Risen Christ sounded joyful bells. Immediately hugs and greetings "Christ is Risen" – "Truly Risen". Outside in the churchyard young, the girls of the village had already lit the "Lampratzia" and above burning Judas. Small children threw firecrackers while parents advised to exercise caution.

`When we returned home we sat around Easter table grandmother had prepared early. Crack red eggs. We ate with appetite the soup, the turkey, the flaounes.

Easter Sunday was a day of games Easter in large threshing floor, in the center of the village. True festival took place there. `This was united village. Sushi erected and lit the song.

Although already passed a fortnight is still alive in me pleasant memories of the unforgettable Easter I spent this year in my father's village. How to forget the customs, games, festive tables! `All this inherited from generation to generation and villages hold them still as a valuable amulet and part of our cultural heritage.
