What we need: For the dough 2 pounds flour (flour and rustic) 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoon Mechlepi baking powder, mastic (well chopped) 2 cups oil or shortening yeast (size 2 eggs) warm milk for kneading For the filling 2 pounds Flaounas and halloumi cheese ½ cup semolina 12 eggs (approximately) 1 piece of dough (in size 2 eggs) 2 teaspoon baking powder, mechlepi, mastic, fresh mint, chopped 200g. raisins 2-3 eggs beaten spreads two aircraft .How we do it: How to prepare the stuffing To make the flaounes prepare the night before or 4-5 hours ahead Grate cheese before 1-2 days to dry out and get many more eggs Add the semolina, and mechlepi mastic and mix well Beat whole eggs Take a dent in the bowl with the cheese, add the yeast and add the eggs. Rub with fingers barely dissolve the yeast. Add eggs as needed to

On Holy Week I cleaned the house with my parents,I bought new clothes and we baked baked cheese pies called flaounes and delicious koulouria. On Good Friday we decorated “Epitafios” . Epitafios dwas carried around the streets and my dad helped with to carry it.Also we dyed hardboild eggs. On Easter Saturday church bells started ringing at 11 pm and we celevrated Christ’s resurrection at midnight.We lit fireworks ,we burned Judas,we lit our candle and took it home.We greeted each other with Christos Anesti and other replied Alithos Anesti.After that we ate egg and lemon soup,we cracked red-dyed eggs and we ate flaounes. On Easter Sunday we roasted pieces of lamb on spit.We cooked koupepia,rice and potatoes.Also we played traditional games like pulling the rope,we sang songs and we danced traditional dances..!!! <3 SOTIA TH <3

The Holy Week,Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday I helped my grandma cleaned houses.

 

Good Thursday,with my gradma baked cheese pies called flaounes and dyed eggs red.

 

Good Friday, I went to church,dccoratcd Epitafios and night I went again to church with my family.

 

Easter Saturday, I went  to church tho morning with my mama and sister bells startrd ringing at 11pm.Celebrated Christ's resurrection at midnight with my cousins.Because we went  to the Amiru monastiri don't  saw the bonfire.After we go to my cousins home and eat lemon soup,ceacked red-dyed eggs and eat flaounes.

 

After the morning on Sunday went  to Pafos the goudi village to my grandpa home and eat here.   

 

        

                                       

 

 

This year my easter holidays were fantastic!!!

 

On Holy Week we were in our village.

We made traditional food, flaounes and tsourekia!

 

On Good Friday we dyed the eggs red.

We went to our grandma and grandpa to go to the  church.

 

On  Easter Saturday  we wore our new clothes and went to the church.

We had with us our Easter candles, lit with holy light and took it home.

 

On Easter Sunday we cracked red-dyed eggs.

I didn't won this year.

 

 

 

                         

 

 

 

 

In the Easter I went with my family in our village.In holy week we cleaned the house,we went to the shops for we by new clothes.Good Thursday we get up at half past four and we went to my grandma.In my grandmother's house we baked cakes,breads and flaounes.I like am bakes cakes and flaounes. That's very funny.Good Friday we went to the church in the morning and at night.We dyed eggs red.                                     Easter Saturday we celebrated resurrection an midnight.Peoples open fireworks and sparklers outside church.Next we went home and we ate lemon soup.We cracked red-dyed eggs and we ate flaounes.
